Back in Blighty
Lying in bed too tired to get up, but too happy to fall asleep again. We arrived at Gatwick after midnight, and J picked us up and took us home. When I saw him smiling at me the butterflies fluttered like mad in my belly! He stopped for petrol and bought us both a coffee. As he drove west I sat there in the dark with the warm cup between my hands thinking how blessed I am to have him in my life. And how wonderful it is that I still have that same feeling of snakes, butterflies and insane happiness everytime I see him, hear his voice or feel his touch.
We came back to mine around 2am. I made us tea and we went straight to bed. He held me in his arms and although we did talk a little, we soon dosed off and fell asleep with our arms and legs entangled. Two hours later he had to get up and drive across London to pick up his mum and take her to Heathrow for her morning flight to the States.
Now he’s at work and I’m in bed feeling guilty. He shouldn’t have picked us up – we could have caught a bus home as we have the whole week off whereas he has to go to work. And then there’s the sex issue again. I haven’t had any for over a week and being so close to him has turned me into a wet, wanton mess. I snuggle up with my pillows and a cup of coffee thinking about what to make him for dinner…
